My Story

For almost twenty years, I was "comfortable" in Corporate America...overworked, unappreciated, and always having to justify being young, Black, smart, and a woman with ambition. I always had a DREAM of owning my own business. I was so inspired during business school that I wrote business plans but let them sit in my business folder on my computer as simply ideas...DREAMS. In 2017, my life changed drastically when I lost my big brother in a tragic car accident. For the majority of my life, my brother was my protector. He understood me when it seemed like no one else did. To him, I was always "Big Boss Sis"! I couldn't fathom going back to Corporate America full-time after his death so I didn't. It was then I decided it was finally time for me to take control of my career, reinstate my work-life balance ethic, and become an entrepreneur. As a result, my management consulting firm, Summit Professional Consulting, LLC, was born. The entrepreneurial journey was not easy but so worthwhile. All of the studying, researching, networking, business meetings, phone calls, emails, and sleepless nights pushed me to continue following my DREAM! I am so grateful that God saw fit to "check my faith" and equip me with the necessary tools, resources, and people to pursue my DREAM! I am a business owner, entrepreneur, a woman minority-owned business, a Founder & CEO, a "Big Boss Sis"!
